In an industry where many artists replicate what works, Shadow Tha God stands out with his unique and versatile sound. He attributes his inspiration to creating new music to the world around him, and he sees a return to real artistry in the coming future, with the indie scene full of upcoming artists with diverse creativity. Shadow Tha God’s musical background is not traditional, as he did not have any real background in music. However, he has been a fan of music since he was young, and it was Dr. Dre who got him into music and Eminem who got him into production. Since then, Shadow Tha God has developed his sound by constantly blending genres, such as his current project of a UK grime instrumental with K-pop sounds and emotional trap strings in the background. When it comes to collaborating with other artists, Shadow Tha God has produced instrumentals for papajohn956, and he sees mentorship and support from other indie artists as crucial to his success. Despite the pandemic, Shadow Tha God’s music career has not been significantly impacted, and he advises new artists who are just starting out to focus on the basics. He believes that his versatility sets his music apart from other artists, and he hopes to continue evolving and creating music that is unique and meaningful.
