Q) Where are you from?
I am originally from Augusta, Georgia but I claim Atlanta to be my home. I’ve lived all over but Atlanta is where I have been for the majority of my life.
Q) When did you start making music and what or who were your early influences?
I started making music around the age of 10 but released it seriously on platforms around the age of 16.
Q) What skills do you think artists need to be successful?
Originality is key. Stop sounding like someone else. If it sounds good it sounds good. If people like it they like it. Some got it, some don’t. I’m still trying to become better.
Q) How do you stay up to date with the latest music trends?
It’s up in my face everyday anyway! But I just keep up with my favorite artist and the algorithms feed me similar stuff. Playlists, YouTube, etc. We all caught in the matrix.
Q) When performing, what techniques do you use to engage the audience?
I can’t give away my sauce in this interview. You’ll just have to see me live to catch what I do.
Q) What would you say is the most rewarding part of being an artist?
Knowing I started something in my room from a simple idea and seeing others enjoy it when it comes to light as a finished product. That means what I did at least made sense to others.
Q) How did you spend your lockdown/pandemic time? What did you accomplish before the entertainment World’s started to open up again?
During lockdown I came up with a lot of music and found great connections online. Networking is key and I got in contact with some good people.
Q) What makes you different from other artists?
I’m original. Yes, others original. I’m not the first. Not the last. But I’m original and got something not a lot of people tuned into on the mainstream. I’ve got a special niche and it’s different.
Q) What is your dream collab? Dead or alive?
Prince would have been tight. I mean really any and all hip hop artists. None really in particular. But other than Hip Hop, Sade or King Krule would be dope.
Q) What is your biggest accomplishment musically?
I honestly have not had my biggest accomplishment yet. But I will. Very soon.
Q) Last question, when not making music, where can we find you?
You can find me in a park somewhere enjoying the weather, or at the mall looking for the next fly ass fit. Or I’m at the gym. Ain’t at the gym I’m working.
