Seed, the Engineer, also known as Reggie Shelton, is making waves in the music industry with his technical prowess and visionary sound. As a self-taught guitarist, pianist, and music producer, Seed has honed his craft over the years, working with various genres and artists.

Seed’s love for music began at a young age when he started writing songs and making music with his sister. After graduating high school, he taught himself how to play guitar and piano, eventually diving into music production and DJing. He also started doing live sound for his church, which led him to pursue advanced technology, theory, and tools to operate their new AV system.

With his diverse experience in recording Rap, R&B, Hip-hop, bands, and gospel music, Seed has become a sought-after sound engineer, with clients ranging from Empire to 25th street. He also takes on live gigs, church events, and studio recordings.

Seed’s dedication to his craft is undeniable. He describes his love for music as his motivation to keep pushing himself to create better sound. As he says, “if you’re level-headed enough to persevere through it all, by the time you finish and look back on your progress, you can stand on it confidently reassured your best was more than just good enough.”

Seed also knows the importance of adapting to the changes in the industry. As technology advances, he rolls with the punches and learns how to optimize it to operate at a high capacity. He believes in being a lifelong student of the game, always looking for ways to improve his skills and techniques.

One of Seed’s recent accomplishments is working with Skywalker Ranch to create sound effects for the upcoming show, “She Hulk,” which was nominated for a Golden Reel Award. He has also been branching out into recording more orchestras and small ensembles, showcasing his versatility and creativity.

Seed’s success in the industry is also attributed to his teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and clients. He believes in doing what’s best for the song, and everyone’s focus should be on that goal.

For those just starting in the field, Seed advises keeping an open mind and being adaptable to changes. He believes that doing your best, regardless of the pay or situation, will pay off in the long run.

Seed, the Engineer, is a sound visionary, continuously pushing the boundaries of sound engineering and music production. He is a force to be reckoned with, and his passion for music and dedication to his craft are evident in every project he works on.
