King Lo is making a name for himself unlike any other coming out of New York.  The rising artist is from Syracuse NY and brings a new unique melodic flow. Whether it’s the lyrics, production, videos, and the ways music is being promoted and spread. King Lo adapts quickly to create a buzz behind each release for his fans.

We caught up with the upcoming star King Lo to speak about growing up in Syracuse and how he has been making music during COVID in recent months. We chatted with the artist about his catalog coming up this year, his upbringing, and forthcoming releases amongst other things.

Check out the exclusive interview below.

For those who don’t know you, can you introduce yourself?

Yea for those who don’t know I go by the name King Lo I’m a rising artist from Syracuse NY with a unique melodic sound, I blend dancehall vibes with hip-hop and pop to make my own sound and people been liking it.

How did you come up with the name and your initial start in music?

The name came after just trying out a couple of other names that didn’t fit so I just shortened my real name to Lo and put the King in front respectfully. It was a gamble though cause there are other people out there tryna ride that wave we gonna get that sorted out soon.

How have you been able to maintain creativity and inspiration throughout these past few months with COVID going on?

Crazy enough this pandemic has been a blessing in disguise, I got more work done than I thought I could get done being locked in the house, it ain’t really mess up my creativity it gave me time to focus on it. I put out more content in 2020 than any of the previous years and I had time to sit and work the business side of it too.

What has been the biggest difference in making music during this whole pandemic?

My biggest difference I’d say is just the vibe I switched my whole vibe up right before the pandemic hit so the energy and vibe shifted right when the rest of the world did so it was crazy I kinda feel like the pandemic was a reset for my music career now I’m just going harder than ever.

In terms of this year, what do you have in store for 2021?

This year gonna be even bigger than last year in terms of EVERYTHING. I’m doubling down on everything I was doing last year and more, I’ve got a bigger network now, and like I said earlier I’ve been making music so I already have two planned projects this year and one is an EP which is dropping on April sixteenth titled “Manifestations”. Definitely be on the lookout for that.

What can fans expect to see from you in the next year or two?

Fans can expect a lot of new content and as long as their really tuning in they’ll find me on other apps like TikTok and triller and get to see another side of me I want to grow with my fans and supporters and I’m always tapping in with them so fans can expect to see a lot of King Lo and hearing a lot of new music and just growing with me, I was just Verified on Facebook so fans can go check out my artist page and look forward to seeing my level up all 2021 and beyond.
