Lil Nas X is back in the spotlight, but this time, he’s not riding on any old town roads. Teaming up with UK rapper Skaiwater on their latest track “light!”, Nas X takes aim at a cheating ex with a fiery flow that’s sure to set the airwaves on fire.

In a recent tweet, Lil Nas X shared his excitement about the collaboration, reminiscing about their first encounter back in 2018. “Can’t believe this is my first time jumping on a feature,” he wrote. “Skai was the first artist to believe in me, and now we’re making magic together!”

Skaiwater, known for her distinctive style and razor-sharp lyricism, has been a long-time collaborator with Lil Nas X, co-writing hits like “Holiday” and joining him on international tours. Now, they’re back together, ready to light up the charts once again.

In “light!”, Lil Nas X doesn’t hold back, delivering verses packed with raw emotion and blistering honesty. With lines like “Cheating on my ass with a cornball, now I’m finna stunt on both y’all,” he pulls no punches, giving listeners a glimpse into his personal struggles and triumphs.

But that’s not all that’s new with Lil Nas X. Just days before the release of “light!”, he made headlines by taking on a different kind of challenge: his first half marathon.

In a move that’s quintessentially Nas X, he traded in traditional running shoes for a pair of stylish Coach sneakers, showing that you don’t need to conform to make a statement. Despite the unconventional footwear choice, Lil Nas X powered through the race, finishing with a respectable time of 2 hours 32 minutes and 53 seconds.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. After crossing the finish line, Lil Nas X found himself in a wheelchair, feeling the effects of his impromptu decision. Ever the jokester, he took to Instagram to share his post-race thoughts, keeping things light with his trademark humor.

With each new release, Lil Nas X continues to push boundaries and defy expectations, proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the world of hip-hop and beyond.
