J. Cole Dropping “The Fall Off” This Week? Rory & Mal Tease a Surprise Release

J. Cole has been teasing his long-awaited album The Fall Off for years, and fans are eagerly watching for any sign of a release. Recently, the hip-hop podcast Rory & Mal sparked fresh speculation about new music hitting soon.

During their latest episode, Mal hinted that an album initially rumored to drop on Christmas could now be arriving this Friday. “I said an album was coming for Christmas. I thought. I was just a couple weeks early. This Thursday. Thursday night,” he explained with enough confidence to get listeners buzzing.

Rory immediately speculated that Mal might be talking about J. Cole, known for his highly anticipated The Fall Off. Mal, however, quickly clarified that he hadn’t confirmed it was Cole, leaving fans in suspense. Other names like Doechii also came up during the conversation, and some listeners wondered if it could be Playboi Carti, given past “pump fake” tactics around releases like Whole Lotta Red Deluxe.

As of now, there’s no concrete evidence that J. Cole plans to drop an album this Friday. Fans have been eagerly waiting since Might Delete Later, which offered a glimpse of Cole’s evolving sound but was widely considered a side project.

The Fall Off is expected to be a thematic album, potentially marking a defining moment—or even a farewell—in Cole’s career. While fans are hungry for new music, it seems patience will still be required. Until an official announcement comes, speculation will continue to swirl, leaving listeners on the edge of their seats.
