Brown Mamba (Akhil Penumudi) is a 26 year old artist out of San Diego and starting to get some serious traction. He just dropped his 3 song birthday EP: Mamba Madness featuring platinum rapper 24hrs, and talented 15 year old artist Damani. His track Treat You Right is a blend of R&B/ Hip-Hop and builds off Mamba’s 1st track with 24hrs: Freaky DM’s, which has amassed over 100,000 streams on spotify. His EP Mamba Madness is currently charting #14 on the iTunes Hip Hop top 100 albums. Brown Mamba has been consistently dropping music for four years now, and is starting to see the fruits of his labor. His songs have hit seven figure plays on Tik Tok, all of his projects he dropped in 2021 charted on iTunes, and his Spotify presence is increasing daily. He credits a big part of his success to his mixing and mastering engineer: Darrick Ofenloch, owner of driftwood studio in Pacific Beach, San Diego. “He believed in me when very few did and gave me honest feedback. Darrick pushed me on days when my sound did not match my potential and I am very thankful to have had a great mentor to guide me”. Apart from music, Mamba works as a Biochemist in a clinical lab, loves to watch sports, and is an avid shoe collector. Mamba jokes “some of my friends think my shoe collection has been a crazier comeup than the music” as he has over 30 rare Jordans, Nike SB Dunks, and Kobes. Brown Mamba is the epitome of the mantra: Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard. He has stayed consistent, silenced the doubters, and has made a name for himself in this industry.
