Adin Ross Claims Kendrick Lamar Is “Scared” Ahead Of Drake’s “ICEMAN” Release

Kendrick Lamar sparked widespread confusion online after several of his major releases temporarily disappeared from streaming and video platforms earlier this week. The unexpected situation quickly fueled conspiracy theories across social media, with many fans attempting to connect the incident to Drake’s upcoming ICEMAN album rollout.

For a brief period, Kendrick’s album GNX and the Drake diss track “Euphoria” were removed from Apple Music, while music videos for “Not Like Us” and “luther” vanished from YouTube. Eventually, the videos were re-uploaded with their view counts reset, and the missing music slowly returned to streaming services, calming concerns among fans.

Despite the quick restoration, online speculation exploded. Some users theorized the temporary removals were tied to label or catalog transfer issues, while others searched for deeper explanations connected to the ongoing aftermath of the Drake and Kendrick rivalry.

Among those offering theories was streamer Adin Ross, who claimed Kendrick Lamar was “running scared” ahead of Drake’s upcoming release. Ross suggested Lamar removed “Not Like Us” because he was worried about the impact of ICEMAN, a claim many fans immediately criticized online.

The argument quickly fell apart for many observers considering “Not Like Us” never actually disappeared from major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal. Only the YouTube uploads were temporarily removed before being restored.

Ross also stirred debate by claiming Kendrick has only one undeniable classic album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. That take immediately sparked backlash from fans who pointed to projects like To Pimp a Butterfly and DAMN. as modern hip-hop classics. Some listeners have even argued that GNX could eventually earn a strong legacy within Kendrick’s catalog as well.

As Drake’s ICEMAN release date approaches, discussions surrounding both artists continue growing louder online. Supporters from both camps are pushing competing narratives, and the tension surrounding the rivalry shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

With ICEMAN arriving Friday, fans are already bracing for another chaotic wave of reactions, comparisons, and debates across the hip-hop world.
