Off Louie: Cleveland’s “Trap Therapy” Voice for the Underdogs

From the gritty streets of Cleveland, Ohio, Louie, better known by his stage name Off Louie, is carving out a unique space in hip hop with his distinct style he calls “Trap Thrapy.” Inspired by heavyweight influences Babyface Ray and Icewear Vezzo, Off Louie blends raw emotion and street wisdom into music that’s both therapeutic and unapologetically authentic.

Unlike many artists who start with pen and paper, Louie lets his melodies lead the way. “Writing makes me think too hard,” he admits, explaining his creative process of freestyling melodies first, then fitting the words naturally. This approach keeps his music genuine, capturing his true feelings and stories as they come. His music speaks to those who’ve been doubted, switched up on, or left behind—those who understand struggle and survival on a deeper level.

Off Louie’s latest project, 5 Baby, is a raw reflection of his personal growth, struggles with family fallout, and the pain of losing loved ones. His baby brother Lowkey, tragically taken by a close friend, remains his biggest inspiration alongside loyal supporters like his manager Kimbo and friend Chrissy. The project, hosted by DJ Kimbo and featuring beats from producers like Kashwitdabag, stands as a testament to Louie’s resilience and heart.

While still finding his way with features and collaborations, Louie remains focused on his craft and staying consistent in the studio. Social media is a tool he’s learning to master, connecting with fans through his official handle @off__louie, always pushing through discouragement fueled by the challenges his city’s scene sometimes throws at him.

Off Louie stays true by rapping his daily thoughts and moments, confident that his unique voice and versatility will keep him relevant for decades. Balancing personal life and career can be chaotic—”like a fat person doing gymnastics”—but it’s all part of the hustle. Milestones like meeting Babyface Ray, Icewear Vezzo, and the motivational Sterl Gotti reignited his passion and drive.

His music is deeply personal—he’s faced the harsh reality of losing those closest to him, and now carries their memory forward through his art. Off Louie dreams of having his songs on the Billboard charts, whether as a vocalist or songwriter. His ultimate goal? To break the mold, stay in his own lane, and shine a light on Cleveland’s often misunderstood scene.

Check out his new single 5 Baby on Apple Music here and follow him on Instagram @off__louie to stay connected with this authentic voice bringing “Trap Thrapy” to the forefront. Cleveland’s own Off Louie is not just making music — he’s making a movement.
