Since its launch in February, Beyoncé’s CÉCRED haircare brand has been the talk of the beauty industry, thanks to high-profile collaborations with celebrities and influencers. On July 2, Victoria Monét took the spotlight in the latest promotional video titled “WHO’S IN THE CÉCRED SALON.”The video features Monét alongside Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, and Dr. Kari Williams, the brand’s director of education. Together, they explored CÉCRED’s innovative products. Monét discussed her hair journey and future goals while trying out the brand’s clarifying shampoo and a unique protein treatment made from fermented rice and rose.”I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, a form of eczema affecting the scalp. With frequent sew-ins and wigs, my hair undergoes a lot of changes. After removing a sew-in or wig, my scalp gets extremely itchy, so I’m excited about this treatment,” Monét shared.During the session, Monét asked Knowles about her most unforgettable salon story. “[Beyoncé] saw me doing bonding for the first time on my cousin’s hair. She cut off both her ponytails and handed them to me, thinking they could be reattached. I was in stitches,” Knowles recounted with a laugh.Monét, who opted for the big chop in January, aims to achieve “long, luxurious hair” by next year. She explained, “I want to embrace my natural beauty without relying on makeup, wigs, or specific outfits. I want the freedom to enjoy the beach and feel confident.”Furthermore, on June 30, Monét and Teyana Taylor impressed audiences with their recreation of Beyoncé and Usher’s “Bad Girl” performance at the 2024 BET Awards. Beyoncé endorsed their rendition by sharing a clip on her Instagram Story.
