Boojay Banking’s musical journey began when he was just 9 years old, and it has only grown from there. From the early days of writing his first song, “Trust Me Please,” which was all about trusting himself, he’s carved out a name for himself as a versatile artist. His music, often described as “Exotic Music,” spans genres and crosses boundaries. Boojay doesn’t just create songs; he ghostwrites, creates jingles, and even dabbles in movie soundtracks.
Boojay’s inspiration comes from the likes of Future, Young Thug, and Lil Keed, but he’s quick to say that if you’re “hard af,” you can be his inspiration. His ability to work across all kinds of music, from commercial jingles to full-length projects, makes him a truly universal artist.
He’s collaborated with a variety of artists, including Jacquees, TK Travis, and his own crew at FYB, and he dreams of working with icons like Future one day. But his ambitions go beyond just music. Boojay is a businessman at heart, understanding the fine print of deals, royalties, and contracts. He’s all about having control over his masters and his future. When asked about signing with a label, he emphasizes that the deal has to be right, transparent, and beneficial for everyone involved.
Though he remains unsigned for now, Boojay is making waves on his own terms, creating unique sounds and video concepts with his brother Kash Films. His favorite music to listen to spans across genres, from Patti LaBelle to Chief Keef, showcasing his wide range of influences and creative flexibility. He’s currently working on more music videos and continuing to experiment with new sounds.
Looking forward, Boojay sees himself in five years with bigger houses, faster cars, and growing his business ventures, including an organic garden with a brother in Africa. For now, though, he’s dropping tracks like “TBT,” which is about to drop this week, and he loves to surprise his fans with unexpected releases.
