The vibrant music scene has birthed another promising talent — Don Velle, a rapper whose unique sound is quickly making waves. Known for his emotionally charged freestyles and dynamic flow, Don Velle has just released his latest project, ZOOT, available on all platforms. Featuring standout collaborations with artists like 6hxart, Donavns, and 1richzay, this project showcases his growth as an artist.

Don Velle’s journey into music began with a Christmas gift from his mother—a trumpet and a keyboard. This simple gesture ignited his passion for music. “I fell in love with playing the instruments and ended up just falling in love with music,” he recalls. From there, his love for creating has only deepened, with influences ranging from Lil Uzi Vert and Juice Wrld to Kendrick Lamar and Drake. These artists, known for their genre-defying styles, have opened the door for Don Velle to craft his own sound.

In his creative process, Don Velle often lets the music guide him. “I usually let the music take control of me and go off the dome,” he explains, a method that has resulted in raw, unfiltered tracks. His latest single, “Never Ends,” encapsulates this process—freestyled and inspired by his experiences traveling and performing with friends.

Don Velle thrives off crowd interaction, seeing it as essential to creating energy during performances. His most memorable show to date was at an event hosted by his fellow artist friend KDB, where the packed venue solidified his love for performing live. He also views self-confidence and understanding himself better as key obstacles he’s overcome, crediting his journey with helping him grow both personally and artistically.

Despite his personal growth, Don Velle has a critical eye on the music industry, expressing concern about the oversaturation of rappers. “It just feels like rapping for everyone is the new norm,” he says. Still, he’s focused on carving his own lane, staying motivated by his music and seeking out knowledge about the industry.

Through his journey, Don Velle’s unwavering support from Zooter Gang—his loyal fanbase—has been a constant source of inspiration. As his music continues to evolve through repetition and self-expression, Don Velle is confident in his place in the industry. “What you could expect is for me to be on your playlist. I won’t let you down,” he promises.

ZOOT is more than just a project; it’s a testament to his growth, passion, and commitment to delivering something fresh in an increasingly crowded scene. If Don Velle’s trajectory is any indication, the Virginia native is on his way to becoming a household name.
