Representing Brooklyn, New York Mythodical Joe

Brooklyn, New York

Representing Brooklyn, New York Dante Dumas, better known as Mythodical Joe, channels the heart and grit of hip-hop’s golden era, with a voice that’s as memorable as his message. Influenced by legends like Jay-Z, DMX, Nas, and Eminem, Mythodical Joe embodies the essence of old-school hip-hop with a unique, raspy delivery that demands attention. For Joe, music is a journey of reflection and social awareness, with lyrics that push listeners to think deeper and feel every bar.

Joe’s creative process is rooted in solitude, often finding himself writing lyrics in his car, on his couch, or late at night when the world is quiet. Beats become the background as he lets life experiences flow into lyrics, whether he’s dissecting personal challenges or addressing societal issues. This meditative approach reflects his commitment to making music that resonates beyond the surface.

His latest EP, The Collective, is a refreshing blend of six tracks featuring artists from across the U.S., each track carrying its own vibe while keeping the classic Mythodical Joe style. It’s a project for fans to hold onto as they anticipate his upcoming single, “The State,” a collaboration with Jae Millz that dives deep into the current landscape of hip-hop. And for those looking for a global touch, his collaboration with London-based artist Emma Lee on “Charmed” is sure to bring something fresh this fall.

Joe’s journey has had its pivotal moments, but one of the most impactful was watching fans share his music across social media, tagging him as they played his tracks on various platforms. “It’s still surreal,” he shares, emphasizing how each play and share fuels his dedication to keep creating meaningful music.

Mythodical Joe isn’t in it for fame—he’s here to leave a lasting impact. His themes range from the deeply personal to the unapologetically raw, as seen in tracks from his first album, Something to Say, where he delved into topics like near-death experiences, struggles with mental health, and the bond with his daughter. These songs aren’t just stories; they’re pieces of himself, reminders of where he’s been and where he’s going.

In the long run, Joe aims to release three more albums, tour the world, and even snag a Grammy. He’s got big aspirations, but his heart remains grounded in the music and in his fans. With each track, Mythodical Joe invites listeners to listen closely, to replay and reflect, and most importantly, to feel.
