Hip-hop star Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is no stranger to drama, and his latest beef is with UFC middleweight fighter Sean Strickland. Known for being outspoken and often confrontational, MGK found himself in a heated exchange with Strickland following comments he made on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. While discussing Strickland, MGK didn’t hold back, calling the fighter out for his alleged insecurities and questionable behavior. As expected, Strickland fired back on social media, escalating the conflict.
MGK has a reputation for beefing with big names, with his most infamous feud being with Eminem. This time, however, his target is a professional fighter, and things got intense quickly. During the Impaulsive interview, MGK voiced his disdain for Strickland, accusing him of being both racist and homophobic. He went as far as to claim that Strickland was “too insecure to be himself” and a “bad person” overall. MGK’s harsh critique caught the attention of podcast host Logan Paul, who appeared shocked at the level of animosity MGK held for the UFC star. “I don’t even know this guy,” MGK said on air. “I got hip afterward that he’s just not my type of person.” The rapper’s comments didn’t stop there, as he proceeded to call Strickland a “fcking idiot” and told him to “shut the fck up.”
Sean Strickland’s Fiery Response on Twitter
Unsurprisingly, Sean Strickland wasn’t about to let MGK’s comments slide. Less than 24 hours after the podcast aired, Strickland responded on Twitter with a series of sharp remarks aimed at the rapper. The UFC fighter mocked MGK for having what he called an “identity crisis,” pointing to the rapper’s extensive body tattoos as evidence. “Dawg, you had a midlife crisis and covered yourself in ink,” Strickland tweeted. He continued, “I’d hang out with toxic trolls over this guy any day.”
The UFC fighter didn’t stop there. Strickland ended his tweet with a jarring insult, telling MGK to “go back to cutting” himself, a direct shot at the rapper’s past struggles with mental health. He concluded the rant with “f*cking weirdo,” adding more fuel to their ongoing feud.
A Long-Running Tension
Tensions between MGK and Sean Strickland aren’t new, with the first signs of their conflict surfacing earlier this year. Back in February, the two reportedly had a confrontation at the Power Slam event. Strickland later posted on social media about the encounter, claiming that he “almost hit a vampire” in a reference to MGK’s appearance. With both men known for their combative natures, it doesn’t seem like this beef will die down anytime soon.
