Coming straight out of Cincinnati, Ohio, M.Chanel is building her name off grit, sacrifice, and undeniable ambition. Balancing two jobs while chasing a music career isn’t for the weak—but for her, it’s just part of the process. We caught up with the rising artist to talk about her journey, her influences, and what’s next.

Q: You’ve been grinding hard—working two jobs while pursuing music. What keeps you motivated?
M.Chanel: Honestly, it’s the bigger picture. I know what I want out of life, and I’m willing to work for it. Nothing about this is easy, but that’s what makes it worth it. Every day I’m getting closer to where I want to be.

Q: You started making music pretty young. Take us back to that first moment.
M.Chanel: I was 13 when I recorded my first track, “Fatality.” That was the moment I knew I really wanted to do this. It wasn’t perfect or anything, but it lit a fire in me. From there, I just stayed locked in.

Q: Your sound feels very raw and emotional. Who inspired that direction?
M.Chanel: I’d say a big influence is Lil Durk. He’s always been real in his music, and that’s something I connect with. I want my music to feel honest—like people can hear it and really feel what I’m saying.

Q: You’re very hands-on with your artistry. Why is that important to you?
M.Chanel: Because it’s my story. I write my own lyrics, I come up with my own video ideas—it all comes from me. I don’t want anything watered down. I want people to see me for me.

Q: You haven’t collaborated yet, but you’ve got big goals. Who’s on your dream list?
M.Chanel: For sure Dr. Dre. That’s a legend right there. And I definitely want to get out to Los Angeles and perform. That’s a big goal for me.

Q: Who’s been your biggest supporter through all of this?
M.Chanel: My mom, hands down. She keeps me grounded and reminds me why I started. Having that support means everything.

Q: Let’s talk about your latest release, “Slept Rumors.” What does that record represent for you?
M.Chanel: That one’s personal. It’s about being overlooked but still pushing through. People might sleep on you, but that doesn’t mean you stop. You keep going, you keep applying pressure.

Q: And you’ve got more music on the way?
M.Chanel: Yeah, I’ve got a new track called “Onna Gas” dropping May 1st. I’m excited for that one—it’s a different energy, but still me. I’m just building momentum right now.

Q: What’s your mindset as you keep moving forward in this industry?
M.Chanel: I don’t act like I’ve got everything figured out—only God knows how it’s all gonna play out. But I do know I’m going to keep working and keep pushing for greatness no matter what.

M.Chanel is proving that consistency and authenticity still matter. With every release, she’s making it clear that she’s not waiting for opportunities—she’s creating them.
