1. What is your name/stage name?
Shakeel Wasean Ivery but musically known professionally as Polo Shak

2. When is your birthday?
December 8th, 1992


3. Where are you from?
Queens, NY


4. What do you do?
Im a Music Artist, Actor, Model, Brand Ambassador & Activist


5. How long have you been making music?
I’ve been making music for about 24 years now. Since age 5


6. What was your first song/project?
My first song that made people gain interest I will say “No Likes No Followers” which was back in 2015 but I’ve done recorded at least 500 songs way before that.


7. Who’s your inspiration?
My 2 daughters are my inspiration, My Mother who’s now in heaven and my fans everywhere who believes in my talents.


8. What genre of music do you create?
Soul Hip-Hop but I can do any genre truthfully.


9. Do you come up with your video concepts?
Most of the time yes I do. 


10. What was it like working with your oldest daughter?
Working with my oldest daughter Aariyana (7) on her first song ever with me called Santa’s Coming was a speechless, joyful, flashback, inspirational moment and experience for me. Why ? because it’s surprising that she’s even actually interested in making music shocks me the most. Although both of her parents are musically talented, so the apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree. Ha Ha 


11. What are some features you have? 
I have a song called “Applying Pressure” which features Miami Florida’s own Third World Don, I have a feature with an artist by the name of Music By Fortune called “Jungle Juice Remix”, “Sandro Pay” which features Lil Oye from Queens, NY and also “Started Remix” which is upcoming artist Psycho Finesse from Brooklyn, NY song. Just to name a few.


12. What are some features you want to get?
Only a few artist to be honest, Rod Wave, Kid Laroi,  Marzz, Pink Sweats, Jay-Z & Nicki Minaj.


13. Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
Michael Jackson, that’s my idol. Favorite Icon ever.


14. Are you signed to a label?
Independent with my own label called Yah Yahh Entertainment 


15. Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
I’ll take a distribution/ partnership deal if it makes sense for me and the company that I plan on doing future business with.
