1. What’s your name?

Raffaele del Zingaro

2. Where are you from?

Napoli ( South Italy )

3. How old are you?

34 outside, 24 inside

4 .When did you start making music?

I started to make music in 2014 when I graduated in ” Electronic Music Production and Digital Arts” in the NUT Academy in Napoli. It was a very beautiful experience that changed the vision of my life and everything around me .

5. How serious are you about your career?

To fulfill yourself and achieve your goal – That is one of the most important aims in my life.If you don’t take it seriously, it is a game, a hobby, not a career.

6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?

Never, that is impossible! How can you quit something that makes you feel good and alive? How can you give up the vibration, the energy, the feeling, the kick, the bass, the drum… The club.Music is part of us-  We are half soul and half music. Or maybe our soul is in itself, the music… I don’t know. Anyway, music is everywhere, you can’t run away from it.For DJ’s music is a good sickness, it is an oxygen cylinder. We cannot do without it.

7. Who inspires you the most?

I was 11, maybe 12 years old, I was in my summer house, it was night time.I heard from far away an unbelievable music, full of energy and magic – I was enchanted. From the car, was playing ” Gigi D’agostino – Un Giorno Credi ” , that was my beginning. So the “Maestro” Gigi D’agostino is my inspiration.

8.What got you into making music?

Since I was very young, music was part of me. Everyone in my family listened to music, it was always around me.The first song that I remember is ” R.E.M – Shiny Happy People “, I was 4years old (almost).I always listened to the Radio and I looked, like a madman, for the right frequencies for the radios that I liked and I wrote them on a piece of paper, to remember them. Cassettes, CDs and then Mp3 players etc, were always with me, constantly.I always imagined how to make music and I was curious how it worked the ” emotion generator ” .The important moment for me was when I first went to a club. I was 14 years old; “Beautiful! I want to do that , I want to be there, in the consolle to play my own music… I will do that, at any cost !” Now I’m 34 and I still think the same.

9.Who is your favorite producer?

I have a lot of people on the list.Through the years, I changed my style, the way to listen, but I think right now my favourite Dj Producers are :Gigi D’agostino, Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Zatox, Da Tweekaz, Vini Vici, Blastoyz, Dimitry Vegas & Like Mike, Lost Frequencies, Carl Cox, Bassjakers, Quintino, Eric Pryz, Carnage, Angerfist, VInai … Should I continue?!

10. What is one of your best songs/beats?

Absolutely it’s ” Gigi D’Agostino – L’amour Tojours ” and ” Alesso – If i lose Myself “

11. Are you signed to a record or label?

I have signed 4 times with an Italian record label for electronic music, but for some time now, I have made self releases. It is faster, easier and you don’t have to wait for the label or someone to ask you money to release, or to say “Your song is very good, but we have to pass for now “.

12. Have you ever performed?

I have been performing since 2007, as a DJ and on radio shows in :Italy, Spain , Rep.Czech, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Australia, French Caribbean, England, Mexico, Canada and Holland. A really “long journey”.

13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?

I’m very open to collaborate with any artists, with different music genres. The music is still music, if you’re a rock band or you’re a techno producer, it doesn’t matter. My goal is to collaborate with someone like Timmi Trumpet, Da Tweekaz or Will Sparks, that would be amazing. Or maybe one day they will ask me to collaborate with me, who knows?!

14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?

The Ranking of ” DJ Mag” was out some days ago, any DJ from 1st position to the 100th,  and more, I would like to collab with.

15. What’s next for you?

After these two difficult years in the artistic world, I would like to see all artists’ work and be free to express themselves, without struggle. This is my first thing. The next step for me is to make as much music as I can and to grow up within this industry. To work with as many clubs in the world and play my music. To work with agencies worldwide, to be happy, and continue my dream.
