Hip-Hop artist DEON known for releases such as, “Julius Caesar” with 1K Phew and 1K Pson, “Going Up” with Jon Keith, and his chart topping Debut album “DEON”, is steadily on the rise. In 2022 he was able to amass over 1.5 Million total streams in his first full year under his rebranded name DEON. He has charted in over 16 Countries including, Trinidad, Barbados, America, Belize, and 700 consecutive days in Japan to name a few. As well as completed a 10 date tour from June through August in 2022.

DEON recently secured a Distribution Deal with AWAL Recordings Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (The Orchard). We asked DEON how this all took place and he said, “Funny enough when I was 19 I found a way to submit music to labels, I took a shot at it and AWAL was one of them. When I submitted they got back to me in 7 days and said they didn’t see fit to have me under the distribution. I can firmly say they made the right decision at the time lol, long story short I woke up one morning and checked my emails like I always do and there it was! A email from AWAL saying I was invited to join the distribution under Sony Music Entertainment 4 YEARS LATER!”

DEON recently released a collaboration record with Platinum Artist MarMar Oso titled, “Waiting” and the response this record has had could be one of the reason AWAL contacted him. DEON says that the music he has coming is his best music yet and with this new distribution deal, the sky’s the limit.
