“Errol Eats Everything” An Interview With a Nomadic Architect of Sound and Soul

There’s something magnetic about Errol Eats Everything—part artist, part entrepreneur, full-time truth-teller. You feel his bars in your bones, but it’s the weight of the life behind them that makes them resonate long after the track ends. From childhood chaos and East Coast boom bap to balancing corporate success with hip-hop soul, Errol’s life is a mosaic of resilience, rhythm, and relentless reinvention.

We sat down with the multi-hyphenate emcee and CEO to talk about the stories behind the bars, his nomadic upbringing, and why his next release might just be his most personal yet.

Q: What first pulled you into music?

Errol: The people I came up with all rhymed and made beats. I’d watch ‘em flip the EPS and loop magic out of nothing. Music became my escape. My pops had the house vibrating with tunes—man was a walking sound system. I’d sneak his vinyls, spin ’em like gold, and just lose myself. Hip-hop wasn’t background noise—it was the language I wanted to speak fluently.

Q: Was there a moment that made you say, “I’m built for this”?

Definitely. I remember flipping that same Al Green joint Dilated Peoples used for “Worst Comes to Worst.” My version was called “Sometimes I Just Don’t Care.” Heads I came up with gave me real props. That was it. That’s when I knew—yeah, I’m gonna be good at this.

Q: How did your upbringing shape the artist you are?

I grew up under heavy manners—strict Jamaican household, youngest kid, tense energy everywhere. Eventually I dipped out and followed wherever music led. That meant sleeping on couches, soaking up vibes from Texas to Vegas. Being nomadic trained me to observe and adapt. Everything I went through—the struggles, shady folks, culture clashes—it’s all in the bars.

Soundtrack of a Life: Inspiration, Style, and Staying Original

Q: How do you describe your sound?

Futuristic, groove-driven hip-hop with boom bap bones. Think of it like sonic time travel—it feels nostalgic and brand new at the same time. Furious Evans deserves a lot of credit. That brother is a wizard behind the boards.

Q: Biggest musical influences?

KRS-One is the greatest in my eyes. Chuck D, André 3000—those names are pillars for me. Dancehall also had a massive impact, especially the rockers and rub-a-dub eras. Artists like Jay Electronica, Royce da 5’9”, and Pharoahe Monch shaped the way I approach music. My inspiration comes from the masters, not from chasing trends.

Q: Do emotions fuel your writing more than anything else?

Absolutely. Emotions are what people remember. I’m a storyteller at heart, but if I can’t feel it, I won’t write it.

Q: Do you have a creative ritual?

I let the beat speak. I’ll loop it until it tells me what to say. I build songs in layers like paintings. Sometimes it starts as a freestyle that finds its story along the way—“Fly Girl” was like that.

Vision Beyond the Booth

Q: Where do you see this music taking you in five years?

Music’s the conduit. The Errol Eats Everything brand is gonna be a universe—animated series, short films, art galleries, fashion, and immersive pop-up experiences worldwide. The podcast is coming too. Music is just the portal.

Q: Dream collabs?

3 Stacks. KRS. Jay Electronica. Black Thought, for his unparalleled mastery of the craft Griselda’s my guilty pleasure—Conway would be wild. And my better half—she’s wildly talented.

Q: Are you more legacy or living-in-the-moment?

Impact in the now. Legacy’s cool, but there’s no past or future, just this moment. That’s where the power is.

What’s Next: “Ballad of the Brutes” and Beyond

Q: Talk to us about this upcoming release. What should fans expect?

Super heavy riffs. Steady grooves. Bars that sting and soothe. “Ballad of the Brutes” is from the Errol Eats Everything project. I began the project in just six weeks, but then it sat untouched for nearly two years. The timing didn’t feel right back then—but now, it feels perfectly aligned.

Q: Is it a new sound or signature Errol?

Both. Still me, but an evolution. Furious Evans is experimenting with tones we’ve never touched before. It’s deeper, sharper—like I’m stepping into a bigger crown.

Q: If you could describe the new release in three words…

Substance. Soul. Groove.

The Final Word

Q: Any advice your future self would give you today?

You’re here because you’re supposed to be here. You already made it. Have fun.

From founding startups to flipping soul loops into soundscapes, Errol Eats Everything isn’t just an artist—he’s a movement. And whether it’s through music, business, or storytelling, one thing’s clear: he’s just getting started.
