LAVINE INTERVENTION: From Albany Streets to Mic Domination

In the maze of underground talent and rising voices in hip hop, few names strike with the poise, purpose, and raw lyricism of Lavine Stein. Hailing straight from Albany, NY, Lavine has been sharpening his pen since 2008, evolving into not just an MC—but a storyteller, a curator of sound, and an architect of feeling.

His journey began with AlbERT (Albany Established Ramar Taylor), a nod to his roots and a declaration of pride for his city. Since then, Lavine has carved out a space in the rap world that’s rich in wordplay, influenced by East Coast giants like The Lox, Nas, and Jay-Z, yet still uniquely his own. His delivery carries the hunger of DMX, laced with the laid-back hustle vibes of Larry June. It’s no wonder his name rings among those watching New York’s independent circuit.

Though unsigned, Lavine isn’t walking this road alone. Features with artists like Rockstar Rizz, Machete Malone, and Know’lege showcase his collaborative strength and his desire to elevate the culture. But don’t mistake his network for dependence—Lavine writes every bar, envisions every video concept, and crafts his sound with a hands-on approach. His upcoming album, Lavine Intervention, promises to be a culmination of that grind. And as he continues to workshop visuals, concepts, and studio sessions with local producers like Ace The Writer and Kyng Dre, it’s clear he’s building something special.

He’s no stranger to stages, having rocked the mic at the WUSSUPPIEEE ENT SHOWCASE, and he’s setting sights on SXSW in Austin as his next destination. Touring with the likes of Griselda or The Lox? It’s not far-fetched—it’s fate in the making.

While the date of his next release is still under wraps, you can catch a glimpse of what’s brewing through his Lyrical Lounge session, filmed by Honcho—a gritty, raw performance that peels back the curtain on his evolution.

Lavine isn’t chasing fame. He’s laying the bricks for a legacy—one verse, one visual, one beat at a time.
