Drake and PartyNextDoor are back with a collaborative effort, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, officially dropping on Friday (Feb. 14). The 21-track album blends smooth production with their signature R&B-infused style.
Among the highlights is “Gimme a Hug,” where Drake appears to address past tensions:
“Drake elimination, fake intimidation/Take a minute, take a deep breath, have a little bit of patience.”
He also takes what seems to be a jab at Joe Budden, rapping:
“Melyssa Ford, you a legend from The 6 hate to see you with a d**k sucker.”
Drake first teased the album last summer during PartyNextDoor’s Sorry I’m Outside tour, promising fans that the project would arrive once the colder months hit. Additional hints came in October, December, and finally, an official announcement earlier this month.
The album cover, shot in front of Mississauga’s Absolute World towers, was revealed just days before release. Prior to the drop, the duo also teased “Crying in Chanel.”
This marks Drake’s first full-length project since his highly publicized rap battle with Kendrick Lamar last spring. PartyNextDoor, on the other hand, last released P4 in April 2023.
