Lil Baby Discusses ‘350’ Lyrics and His Relationship with Gunna

Charlamagne Tha God recently premiered a new episode of his “Out Of Context” series, featuring an in-depth conversation with Lil Baby. The interview comes ahead of the release of Lil Baby’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, WHAM (Who Hard as Me), set for January.

During the discussion, Charlamagne asked Lil Baby about his relationship with Gunna, a fellow rapper who had previously worked closely with him under the Quality Control label. Following Gunna’s release from jail amid the high-profile Georgia RICO case, Lil Baby, like many others, has seemingly distanced himself from the YSL artist.

When asked about his current connection to Gunna, Lil Baby responded, “We don’t got no relationship.” He also addressed doubts about his ability to maintain commercial success as a solo artist, dismissing the criticism. “The internet will say anything,” he said. “Do you know how many hits I got? So, that don’t even make sense.”

Charlamagne pressed further, asking if Lil Baby would collaborate with Gunna at the request of Young Thug. Lil Baby firmly stated, “I don’t see that happening,” but added that he wouldn’t hold it against others if they chose differently. “I don’t know what nobody else would do,” he said.

Fans have speculated about the nature of Lil Baby’s relationship with Gunna, especially after the release of the track “350” in 2023, which many interpreted as a subtle jab at Gunna. The line “Ain’t never say nothin’ ‘bout it, n**ga, you know you a rat” sparked further speculation. Lil Baby downplayed this interpretation, stating, “It’s just the internet, where they’re gonna create [rumors]. I talk about rats in every song I have since I started rapping.” He clarified that the lyrics were not aimed specifically at Gunna but were more generally about anyone who fits the label of a “rat.”
