GloRilla Confirms Recording with Megan Thee Stallion, Fans Anticipate New Project

GloRilla has hinted at a collaborative project with Megan Thee Stallion being in the works.

During an interview with Apple Music, GloRilla was asked if she and Megan had plans on releasing an album, leading the Memphis rap star to giggle and stammer in response. “Y’all got some heat, y’all recorded some things?” Ebro Darden asked GloRilla, to which she confirmed by simply replying, “Yep.”

However, the hitmaker refused to confirm or deny the rumors that an album from the pair was imminent, leaving fans to speculate on the details surrounding the supposed project.

GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion joining forces for an entire project is far from a new development, as the two stars have each hinted at the possibility over the past year. Megan spoke of her chemistry with GloRilla in an interview with Billboard earlier this year, teasing the music the two have been working on together. “I think that would be very fire,” Meg said of a collaborative album with Glo. “I ain’t gon’ say too much, but it feels like it’s going to get done,” she added.

The “FNF” rapper also spoke glowingly of her Houston bred counterpart and the similarities between themselves. “Megan is a real rapper, and I’m also a real rapper,” Glo noted. “We actually be talking and coming with bars on some down South gangsta sh*t. [It would be] some down South, real turnt, real rap [sh*t].”

GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion have become one of fans’ favorite duos in Hip-Hop, as the pair have collaborated on each others’ tracks, with GloRilla appearing on Megan’s song, “Accent,” and Thee Stallion returning the favor with a feature on “HOW I LOOK” from Glo’s new album, Glorious.

According to Megan, she and GloRilla have agreed to get in the studio together before year’s end and start putting the music for the tentative project together.

“We said we were going to sit down in December and start working on it,” Meg told the Inside The Industry podcast. So, y’all really need to spam Glo for real because we’re both bulls***ters.”
