Dakoda Craft, Mt. Sterling

Q.) What do you have going on that you’re most excited about for Dakota Craft?

A.) “Something I have going on that I’m most excited about is possibly releasing my 2nd album soon.”

Q.) What would you say you are least excited about?

A.) “Something I have going on that I am least excited about is going back to Fort Benning soon.”

Q.) Is there anything specific about Dakoda Craft that you think we should know about?

A.) “Not necessarily besides the fact I’m always 100 on my word when I say something Imma do it regardless of what others may say. I can make music about really anything, but I mainly focus on life stuff unless I’m taking anger out on the track. I can record to any beats, and I independently do everything myself besides making instrumentals.”

Q.) What would you consider to be a lot of money?

A.) “Great question! What do I consider a lot of money? It really depends on the situation like what the money’s for. A lot of money to me would be well over 50,000.”

Q.) Are you in it for the money?

A.) “I am in it just because I love making music. Sure, money would be awesome. I would love to be wealthy to have everything for me and my family but honestly money isn’t everything. Eventually that money is gone.”

Q.) Is there anything you’ve accomplished that you didn’t think Dakoda Craft would be able to?

A.) “Yes actually getting a chance like this outta the blue when Jake hit me up on twitter. I never thought I would have an opportunity like this to possibly be heard for once in my life I feel good about my stuff.”

Q.) What is the first song off your catalog that you would direct a potential new Dakoda Craft fan to listen to?

A.) “I would direct a fan to listen to my song Money Just Money or my newest track Chopped Liver.”

Q.) How many songs have you released?

A.) “I have released a bunch of songs, some of them I have taken down so as of now just 23. The only reason for that is because those are the tracks I chose to keep when I go through my music. I delete some every now and then if I don’t like it or don’t plan on using it for an album. But if we’re talking numbers well over 50.”

Q.) Tell us about some of your works not yet released, what’s going on in the vault?

A.) “I have 5 songs I am still working on. I plan on releasing those before I go back to Benning for 12 weeks.”

Q.) What do you think your role in the music community may end up being?

A.) “I believe if all goes well, I may end up being a famous pop hip hop artist.”

Q.) What is a goal you have for between now and next year?

A.) “Between now and next year I plan on getting heard worldwide and possibly achieving what I have been working towards for a while!”

Q.) How do you respond when people talk about being an artist like it’s a far-fetched thing?

A.) “When I hear people talk like that, I simply tell them it is a time game and money game but if you keep working towards it and never giving up it will eventually change your life for the best.”

Q.) Who is the rapper you can first recall listening to?

A.) “The first rapper I recall ever listening to is Tupac. And then Eminem.”

Q.) What role would you say they had in the music industry?

A.) “I honestly don’t know what roles they had but I can say I haven’t heard anyone as talented as them 2 yet.”

Q.) Do you listen to them still?

A.) “Yes I do still listen to them and always will because that was when hip hop was real.”
