1. What is your name/stage name?
Madeline Rosene

2. When is your birthday?
October 16th
3. Where are you from?
Cleveland, OH and NYC, but I have lived in many states, including California (for six years)
4. What do you do?
I’m a singer/songwriter
5. How long have you been making music?
Since I could talk…but I wrote my first song in 7th grade.
6. Who’s your inspiration?
Alanis Morissette. She changed the game as far as shaping the sounds of words to fit into melodies fluidly. It’s a beautiful thing. I’m also inspired by my friends and acquaintances.
7. What genre of music do you create?
I call it “indie pop-n-roll”. I made it up. *shrug
8. Do you come up with your video concepts?
Sometimes. I always have help. I have worked in production in the past and am very visually creative in that sense. I like bringing together a team of creative people. It makes me feel good to see everyone creating and using their talents. I think the marriage between the two mediums of song and video is a magical thing.
9. What was it like working with Dante Juhkel?
He is one of my all time favorite people. I think we work together well, challenge each other, and make each other feel comfortable. If one of us doesn’t like something, we just say “nah, let’s try something else…” and the other one just goes with it… creating together really brings out the best of our abilities and we are not afraid to be honest with each other.
10. What are some features you want to get?
I may be working with MC Chris, a rapper who I have admired for a long time. He is very quick-witted and I appreciate his unique style. I hope it works out!
