In a recent interview with Jeff Ihaza for Rolling Stone, Travis opened up about his next project, describing it as one of the most ambitious undertakings of his life.
“Putting my whole body and soul into the next [project], for more people to understand,” Travis explained. When asked who he’s trying to reach, he added, “The person that still don’t understand Trav no matter how long I’ve been in this sh*t.”
Creatively, the rapper says he’s already visualizing the music on a massive scale. “When I make the music, I have this full vision,” he said. “I see it going down. I’m thinking stadium status. How could people so far away feel so close? How can the music be so big but grounded?”
Travis went on to describe a sound that blends rawness with elevation—something emotionally immersive but still accessible. “Taking raw elements and making it feel euphoric,” he said. “Finding new rhythms, but nothing too hard to take in… a level of what Rodeo could be like on the ultra-scale stadium life.”
While he didn’t share a release date, Travis made it clear that the motivation is there. “Got to feed the kids, man,” he joked. “The kids must eat.”
Earlier this month, Travis hinted that fans may not have to wait too long. In an Instagram Story, he thanked supporters and teased what’s coming next. “LOVE TO ALL THE FAN PAGES YALL KEEP IT ROCKING WE SHALL EAT SOOOOONNN,” he wrote, sending speculation into overdrive.
He’s also been subtly previewing what’s ahead. Not long ago, Travis teased unreleased music in a Beats by Dre Powerbeats Fit commercial as part of the brand’s “Dare to Dream” campaign. Additionally, during a November interview, he confirmed that he had been recording throughout his Circus Maximus Tour.
When asked then about when fans might finally hear the new material, his answer was simple—but promising: “Soon, hopefully.”
