The legal battle between former NFL star Shannon Sharpe and Gabriella Zuniga has taken a new turn, as the conversation now centers around an alleged sex tape tied to the rape accusations leveled against Sharpe. The footage—said to be critical evidence in the case—is reportedly being held back from the public by Zuniga and her attorney, Tony Buzbee.
While Buzbee maintains that the video supports Zuniga’s claims of non-consensual activity, Sharpe has pushed back hard, asserting that the tape has been deceptively edited. According to Sharpe, the full version of the video—which he says is about 10 minutes long—clearly shows the encounter was consensual and tells a very different story than the clips being referenced by Zuniga’s legal team.
Despite mounting public interest, Buzbee has confirmed that the footage will not be released to the media or the public. He argues that the tape is being preserved strictly for legal proceedings and that Sharpe was previously given the opportunity to view the evidence under court-supervised conditions, which he declined.
Sharpe, on the other hand, is preparing to fight back by filing a countersuit for defamation, claiming Zuniga’s allegations have already caused significant damage to his reputation.
As the court date approaches and both sides dig in, all eyes remain on how this high-stakes dispute will unfold—and whether the truth behind the tape will ever be made public.
