Mekke’l Carter becomes Rihanna’s songwriter with two brand new songs officially uploaded on BMI
It looks like 2022 is off to a miraculous start & things have been heating up in the career space for stellar singer/songwriter & spiritual influencer Mekke’l Carter. Mekke’l has just recently found out that she has placed not one, but TWO records & counting on Rihanna’s very highly anticipated next upcoming album after accidentally coming across an article about herself from a Rihanna News Fan Page with breaking news that The Fenty Beauty herself, has officially uploaded two new songs on BMI titled “Grandma Prayed” & “Rage”.
“I’ve been in this songwriting game for some time now and had the pleasure of working with soo many amazing and legendary artists, but THIS ONE?! HIT DIFFERENT!!! Rih?! My literal role model! An icon, a goddess! And out of ALL THESE YEARS, out of ALL THESE DIFFERENT incredible creatives were working on this project, ALL THE HUNDREDS of writers that worked for YEARS trying to land this album, out of the COUNTLESS DEMOS she’s received. How divinely orchestrated is it that MY TWO SONGS are the first ones to get uploaded to BMI officially?! When I was literally gearing up to drop “Grandma Prayed” as my own single because I did those demos for her back in 2020 while we were in quarantine & after not hearing back from her team or Roc Nation or anything for a while I was over here like “Nah Rih is TRIPPIN if she don’t take these ones, these songs are way too good!! Smash HITS! I’m just gonna have to release them by myself!” But God, she had bigger and better plans for me! Right as I was googling myself to get my press organised & prep everything for the new release, I came across this article & literally thought I was in a dream at first! THAT’S WHAT YOU CALL FREQUENCY!!! This is such a dream come true! I focused my energy & intention SOOO deeply with this one. So excited for you guys to hear the magic we created.
