Lil Yachty Flexes $90K Diamond Racehorse Chain At Kentucky Derby Weekend

Lil Yachty made a major statement during Kentucky Derby weekend, arriving with a custom $90,000 diamond racehorse chain that perfectly matched the occasion. According to TMZ, celebrity jeweler Erin Barnett personally delivered the extravagant piece to Yachty at Santa Anita Park on Derby Day, adding even more attention to an already flashy moment.

But Yachty wasn’t just there for appearances. The rapper has become deeply involved in horse racing and is reportedly a partner in the Run Fast Racing app alongside Lil Wayne and Rauw Alejandro. On top of that, he personally owns 16 racehorses, making his Derby presence much more than a celebrity cameo.

The custom chain featured a fully diamond-covered racehorse pendant designed specifically for the event. From the craftsmanship to the timing of the reveal, the piece symbolized Yachty’s growing connection to the horse racing world. Barnett’s personal handoff made the moment feel even more exclusive.

As previously reported by VIBE, Yachty has also spoken openly about wanting to introduce younger and more diverse audiences to horse racing culture. The chain served as a flashy but effective representation of that crossover, blending hip-hop fashion and luxury jewelry with the traditions of the racing industry.

Custom jewelry tied to major sporting events has become increasingly common among artists and athletes in recent years. From the Super Bowl to the National Basketball Association Finals and now the Kentucky Derby, stars continue to use one-of-one pieces to celebrate cultural moments in unforgettable fashion.

For Yachty, the $90K racehorse chain wasn’t just another expensive accessory. It was a statement about ownership, influence, and bringing a fresh audience into a sport that continues to evolve.
