Kevin Gates addressed recent drama surrounding leaked direct messages in a blunt Instagram video, calling out women he claims shared screenshots of his DMs with his partner, Jelenny Tejada.
In the clip, Gates didn’t mince words, saying the messages were private and criticizing those who allegedly forwarded them. He emphasized that Tejada is aware of who he is and where he stands, adding that he has nothing to apologize for. While Gates referred to Tejada as his wife, it remains unclear whether the two are legally married.
The video arrives after a year in which much of Gates’ personal life played out publicly. Early last year, he married Brittany Renner, but the marriage ended after just 52 days, with the couple finalizing their divorce in May. Renner later told Bootleg Kev at the BET Awards that she had “no regret” about the brief union, saying she gave it everything she had.

Around the same time, Gates also filed for divorce from Dreka Gates, though he later claimed the two were never legally married. Dreka, who married the Baton Rouge rapper in 2025, alleged in court filings that Gates began dismantling their family’s financial foundation in 2021. She accused him of flaunting a lavish lifestyle—including purchasing 18 cars and a $4.7 million Calabasas home—and is seeking monthly child and spousal support, along with primary guardianship of their children. Gates has denied that the marriage was legally valid.
With emotions still running high and relationships under public scrutiny, Gates’ latest video adds another chapter to an already turbulent year—one that continues to blur the line between his private life and the spotlight.
