Kerry-Ann Phoenix isn’t just making music—she’s creating a legacy. Born Tameka Kerry-Ann Swaby, she blends R&B, reggae, hip-hop, EDM, and rock, crafting a sound that’s both fearless and deeply personal. Music has always been her escape, thanks to her DJ father, but it was watching BET and MTV as a teen that made her realize she was destined for the stage.
Her career has already seen major milestones, from performing at a Def Jam event in North Carolina to working with industry names like Ahktane Entertainment. Her song “Tell Me Why” featuring Rick Ross showcases her ability to mix raw emotion with undeniable energy. But her journey hasn’t been without obstacles.
As an introvert, Kerry-Ann finds balance through meditation, long walks, Tai Chi, and audiobooks—right now, she’s deep into Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L. Jensen. When the pressure of the industry led to burnout, she turned inward, using therapy and songwriting as tools for healing. Now, with a new EP on the way, she’s stepping back into the spotlight with a renewed sense of purpose.
With her next single dropping soon and a distribution deal in the works, Kerry-Ann Phoenix is proving that authenticity and passion always win.
