Riverdale’s own Huncho Markk is stepping into his truth. After making a name as UTMR PlugHunxho, the young artist knew it was time for a change—not just in name, but in purpose. Now working with Dillon Cash through Swaggertown Records / Colossal Records, Huncho is taking his career more serious than ever and locking in on his goals.
Born in Atlanta on July 21, 2003, Huncho grew up surrounded by real music. His parents raised him on classic soul and R&B—Erykah Badu, Mint Condition, and more. That sound helped shape his love for music early. But it was artists like Chris Brown, Future, and Lil Wayne that gave him the push to start making his own.
He dropped his first track, “Pain In My Cup,” in 2021. It hit hard because it was honest—something people could feel. He wasn’t rapping to impress, he was rapping to express. That same energy follows him today, but now with more focus, more experience, and a name that truly represents who he is: Huncho Markk.
In 2024, he rocked his first live performance at a local charity fest, teaming up with Dvybez for a song called “Blessing Me.” That moment showed him what’s possible. A few months later, he dropped his first full mixtape, “Humble Youngin,” and gave fans a real look into his journey.
Huncho’s music is built from real-life experiences. He’s been through struggles, seen hard times, and used music to get through it. He’s not putting on an act—what you hear is who he is. Every track is another chapter in his story.
Now with a strong team behind him, Huncho’s focused on building a solid fan base, performing more, and making music that sticks with people. He’s not chasing trends—he’s creating his own lane.
From the city streets to bigger stages, Huncho Markk is moving with purpose. And the best part? He’s just getting started.
