Exclusive Interview with 7khi

Stage Name:
7khi

 Hometown:
New York

What inspired you to pursue a career in music?

“Music started as a way for me to express myself. I first got into it through chorus in 6th grade, and from there, my passion just grew.”

Can you share some highlights of your music career so far?

“One of my biggest highlights was my second performance show—it felt like we ran the whole event. That energy, that moment… I’ll never forget it.”

How would you describe your style and sound?

“My music is about expressing how I feel. I like to bring a unique sound that stands out and tells my story.”

How do you approach collaborations with other artists and producers?

“I’m still figuring that out as I grow, but I’m open to working with others and learning from the process.”

Are you fully independent, or do you work with a team?

“This is actually my first time being part of a team, so it’s a new experience for me.”

Have you had any significant achievements in your career that you’re proud of?

“Promoting my song “Circus” on TikTok was a huge moment. It hit about 250,000 views before I took it down, and seeing thousands of people react positively boosted my confidence and made me want to pursue music even more.”

What keeps you motivated as an artist?

“Honestly, I just love making music. Even if I never “make it,” I’ll still be creating—it’s something I look forward to doing every day.”

What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them?

“One of my biggest struggles was not having a job or the resources to record. I overcame that by grinding, working, and saving up to invest in my music.”

How do you engage with your fan base on social media?

“I text my fans all the time when they hit me up. We talk about my music, life—whatever’s on their mind. I don’t really have a “strategy”; I just keep it real.”
