We had the opportunity to sit down with the up-and-coming artist, Nights11de, who’s been making waves in the rap scene with his unique sound and powerful message. A rapper, producer, and musician, Nights11de brings a fresh energy to the table, blending rhythms with meaningful lyrics. Here’s our conversation with the artist about his journey, inspirations, and upcoming projects.
Q: What’s your name and stage name?
My name is Nights11de, pronounced “night-side.”
Q: Where are you from, and how does that influence your music?
I’m from Philadelphia, PA. Philly’s got a lot of grit and a deep history in music. It’s a city that’s seen struggles, but also immense creativity. It’s a place that shaped me and gives me the drive to keep pushing in my music. You know, that hustle is in the air.
Q: You’ve been making music for a while now. How long have you been at it?
I’ve been playing instruments for about 18 years, but I just started rapping in 2024. It’s been a journey, but everything feels like it’s coming full circle now.
Q: Tell us about your first song or project.
My first single was called Spiderweb. It’s inspired by a spider I saw outside my window. The spider kept rebuilding its web no matter how many times it was destroyed. The rain would wash it away, or someone would mess it up, but that spider just kept going. To me, that represents perseverance and never giving up, no matter the setbacks.
Q: Who are your biggest musical influences?
I’m inspired by people like Lord Infamous, Future, Young Thug. But also, there’s something about nature — like that spider in my first song. I feel connected to that sense of resilience.
Q: What genre would you say your music falls under?
I create Rhythm and Poetry (RAP) with a little bit of melody sprinkled in. I like to keep it real with the bars.
Q: What’s something that makes your music stand out from others?
I’m drug and alcohol free, and I like to be real with my listeners. I believe that darkness doesn’t always equal evil. Everyone goes through tough times, but it’s about how you come out of it. I want to share that message with people.
Q: You’re an independent artist, right? Any interest in signing with a label?
Yeah, I’m independent right now, and I’m cool with that. But I wouldn’t mind a good deal if it came along. I’m open to the right opportunities.
Q: What can fans expect from you in the future?
I’m always working on myself and pushing my music to the next level. I’m dropping a new track called Tiger Blood on April 1st, and I’m really proud of it.
Q: Where would you love to perform one day?
Japan. That’s a place I’ve always wanted to perform. I think the culture there would vibe with what I’m doing.
Q: Lastly, what’s next for Nights11de?
In five years, I see myself older, colder, bolder, and still sober. I’m just trying to keep it real and elevate.
