Q: What made you want to pursue a career in music?
TooFaced: Music has this incredible power to connect with emotions and tell stories, you know? It’s like a canvas where I can express everything I feel inside. Dark trap lets me explore those deeper, sometimes darker themes that resonate with a lot of people. It’s about channeling raw emotions and experiences into something others can feel and relate to.

Q: Can you share some highlights of your music career so far?
TooFaced: There have been some amazing moments! Performing at underground venues where the energy is raw and unfiltered is something else. I also did a collab with an artist I really admire in the dark trap scene, and the track blew up more than we expected. Another highlight was a fan reaching out to tell me that one of my songs helped them through a tough time. Moments like these make all the hard work worth it.

Q: How would you describe your style and sound?
TooFaced: My style is all about blending dark, atmospheric beats with raw, emotional lyrics. I dive deep into themes of struggle, resilience, and the darker side of life, which really works well in the dark trap genre. The heavy basslines and haunting melodies create a vibe that’s intense yet relatable. It’s like taking a journey through shadows and finding strength along the way.

Q: What inspired your most popular song, “22 23’s,” and how do you feel about its success?
TooFaced: “22 23’s” was inspired by a mix of personal experiences and the raw energy from collaborating with TWENTYTHREE. We wanted to capture what it feels like to face inner demons and come out stronger. Seeing how well the song’s been received is incredibly rewarding. It’s amazing to know our collaboration resonated with so many people.

Q: In what ways does your music resonate with your audience?
TooFaced: My music taps into raw, unfiltered emotions that a lot of people experience but may keep hidden. Dark trap beats and haunting melodies create an atmosphere where listeners can confront their inner demons and find some solace in the struggle. Tracks like “22 23’s” delve into resilience, pain, and redemption—universal themes. I think sharing my own vulnerabilities and stories makes the music personal and authentic.

Q: How do you approach collaboration with other musicians or producers?
TooFaced: I love diving into the creative process together. It’s about finding synergy and blending our unique styles. We share ideas and inspirations, experiment with sounds and lyrics, and find what clicks. Communication is key, so we keep things open and honest. It’s always exciting to see how our combined efforts create something fresh and powerful.

Q: Have you had any significant achievements you’re particularly proud of?
TooFaced: Releasing my first EP is definitely one of my proudest accomplishments. Seeing my lyrics come to life and hearing fan feedback felt amazing. Collaborating with incredible artists opened new doors and pushed my creativity. It’s a huge milestone, and it’s awesome to connect with listeners on such a deep level.

Q: What motivates you to keep pushing yourself as an artist?
TooFaced: My passion for creating and the connection I feel with my audience. Every new lyric, every track, is like pouring my soul into the music. Dark trap lets me explore raw emotions, and that journey is endlessly fascinating. Support from fans and other artists keeps my creative fire alive, knowing my music can touch someone’s life makes all the struggles worth it.

Q: How do you engage with your fanbase on social media?
TooFaced: Social media is huge for connecting with fans. I love sharing my journey, music, and behind-the-scenes moments. I interact with fans through comments, messages, and live sessions. It’s all about staying authentic and building a community that truly vibes with my sound.

Q: How do you handle criticism on social media?
TooFaced: Criticism is part of the journey, and I view constructive feedback as a chance to refine my craft. For purely negative comments, I remind myself that art is subjective, and not everyone will resonate with dark trap. I focus on my passion and the support from fans—that’s what fuels my creativity.

Q: What excites you most about working with a team?
TooFaced: Collaboration is what excites me most! Working with others sparks new ideas and pushes my creativity to new heights. It’s amazing to share different perspectives and create something unique. Plus, a support system motivates you to keep pushing forward.
