In a thrilling announcement for hip-hop enthusiasts, Juvenile revealed plans for a 25th-anniversary tour celebrating his iconic single “Back That Azz Up.” Set to traverse over 60 cities across North America, this tour is poised to be a landmark event in hip-hop history.

Juvenile took to X (formerly Twitter) on May 30 to break the news, expressing his gratitude and excitement. “The results are in!!! Over 60 cities in U.S. & Canada are getting dates for my 25th Anniversary of Back That Azz Up Tour!!!” he wrote. “Going to damn near every state in the country too. Thank you to my fans. We doing this together to represent for the 99-2000s.”

This tour not only commemorates Juvenile’s prolific career but also highlights his enduring influence in the hip-hop world. The full tour schedule is yet to be unveiled, but the announcement has already sparked a wave of anticipation. Fans are eager to see if Mannie Fresh, Juvenile’s long-time collaborator and legendary producer, will join the tour. Juvenile teased this possibility on Twitter: “Oklahoma City, St Louis, NYC, DC, Columbia SC, Birmingham, Memphis, Houston, Chicago, Las Vegas … do yall want me to add my producer the legendary @manniefresh to the shows so we do it just like tiny desk but better?? RT if so.”

This tour is a part of Juvenile’s broader celebration of his seminal album 400 Degreez, which remains a cornerstone of his career. Earlier this year, Juvenile released a long-awaited music video for the album’s title track, directed by Diesel Filmz. The video celebrates the album’s impact, featuring a mix of archival footage and new scenes of Juvenile and Mannie Fresh. The opening message of the video emphasizes the album’s significance: “On November 3, 1998 Juvenile released his 3rd album 400 Degreez. The album went on to be certified 4x platinum having sold over 4 million copies.”

In addition to the tour, Juvenile is set to reunite with his Hot Boys counterparts—Lil Wayne, B.G., and Turk—alongside Birdman, for a special performance at Essence Fest in New Orleans. This reunion is part of Birdman’s 30th anniversary set, promising to be a monumental moment for fans. Juvenile has also hinted at new music from the Hot Boys, indicating that the group is back in the studio working on new material.

With a new Hot Boys album in the works and a tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Back That Azz Up,” Juvenile is set to make a significant mark on the hip-hop landscape this year. Fans can expect a series of dynamic performances that honor the legacy of one of the genre’s most influential figures.
