Dame Dash Drops Bombshell: Is Lyor Cohen Exploiting Young Thug’s Struggles?

The world of hip-hop has always been fraught with controversies, and Dame Dash’s recent interview with Math Hoffa only adds fuel to the fire. The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records didn’t shy away from calling out industry heavyweights, with Lyor Cohen finding himself in the crosshairs this time.

Dash pulled no punches, labeling the music industry as “toxic” and pointing fingers at those who profit off the hardships of artists. “They take advantage of the dysfunction of our culture,” Dash lamented, emphasizing his refusal to support music that glorifies potentially harmful lifestyles.

The conversation naturally gravitated towards Young Thug, whose legal battles have been making headlines. Dash squarely blames Cohen for exploiting Thug’s situation for financial gain. “They made money off his music. So if they made money off that music and he’s in jail for that, then all that money they made off the music should not go to them,” Dash argued.

This isn’t the first time Dash has called out Cohen. Their history is fraught with tension, with Dash previously labeling Cohen as a “culture vulture” and accusing him of destroying Roc-A-Fella Records. The animosity between the two figures runs deep, and Dash isn’t pulling any punches in his criticism.

With Dame Dash once again stirring the pot, it begs the question: who really benefits from the success of artists like Young Thug, and at what cost?
