1. What is your name/stage name?

Rollo Papers, in school people started calling me Rollo and I added Papers to brand myself towards the cannabis community.

2. When is your birthday?

December 30th, same birthday as LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Ellie Goulding and Patti Smith!

3. Where are you from?

I grew up outside of Philadelphia and then lived in Pittsburgh for 2 years after school was over. Pittsburgh is where I got my real hip hop experience and now I live in San Diego, CA.

4. What do you do?

I’m a lyrical artist whose music is branded towards the cannabis community but I like to think I have a record for any kind of vibe. I started out with more aggressive lyrics but as I’ve been able to put myself out there more I’ve been working on a calmer approach, just something you can sit back and smoke to. I produce a lot of my own records but have been branching out to a lot more producers because collaborations are the best approach to building my network among my peers in the industry.

5. How long have you been making music?

I started making beats in 2014 but didn’t actually record myself rapping until summer 2015. To be honest it started as me having nothing else to do and just being bored, but I got such an immediate positive reaction from everyone I showed it to that it made me think I might have a future in it. In 2017 I quit my job and moved to Pittsburgh to take an unpaid internship at a studio who had some big artists from the city pull up on a regular basis, so that was when I started taking music very seriously.
