For Lavish2Litt, music became survival.
Born Daniel Granela and raised in South Jersey, the independent artist has spent years transforming life’s hardships into records that resonate with authenticity, vulnerability, and hope. His story isn’t built on overnight success or industry shortcuts t’s built on resilience.
The name “Lavish” first appeared when Daniel was just 13 years old. While others viewed a lavish lifestyle as something to chase, he saw it as something he would one day create. Confident in his vision long before it became reality, he declared, “I am Lavish,” and the name stuck.
The “2Litt” movement came later, created alongside his best friend and longtime neighbor, AK2Litt. What began as two friends making music evolved into something far greater than a name. Today, 2Litt represents positivity, freedom, self-expression, brotherhood, and the belief that everyone deserves to live authentically without fear, violence, or judgment.
Life challenged Daniel early.
With his father incarcerated during much of his childhood and his mother working tirelessly to provide stability, he experienced adversity long before adulthood. Eventually, his family reunited and settled in Sicklerville, New Jersey a community filled with diverse cultures, different perspectives, and countless life lessons that would shape both his character and his music.
Those experiences became the foundation of his songwriting.
At just 14 years old, he began quietly writing lyrics as a way to process emotions he struggled to express elsewhere. By 16, freestyling with friends became second nature, but self-doubt kept him from releasing music publicly. Instead, he focused on creating YouTube content while sharpening his abilities behind the scenes.
Everything changed during one of the most difficult chapters of his life.
Countless afternoons were spent alone with BandLab, a microphone, and his thoughts. Whether sitting inside his car or recording while nobody was home, music became his escape. Every completed song offered a sense of peace that nothing else could provide.
That passion only intensified after a cousin gifted him a simple home studio setup during his senior year of high school. Armed with little more than a USB microphone, headphones, GarageBand, and determination, Lavish2Litt taught himself how to record, mix, and master his own music.
The obsession had begun.
After graduating, he upgraded to Logic Pro and committed himself to mastering every aspect of his craft. Over the next several years, he independently created more than 100 songs—handling the recording, engineering, artwork, branding, and releases entirely on his own.
Then came the setback that would have ended many careers.
Following multiple copyright strikes, his entire catalog disappeared from streaming platforms.
Years of work were gone overnight.
Rather than quitting, Lavish2Litt rebuilt everything from scratch.
Leaning on faith, discipline, and an unwavering belief that every obstacle carries purpose, he transformed disappointment into motivation. The experience strengthened not only his work ethic but also the message behind his music.
Influenced by everyone from Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Alicia Keys, and Keyshia Cole to YoungBoy Never Broke Again and the emotionally raw SoundCloud generation, Lavish refuses to be confined by one sound or genre.
“If it sounds good, it inspires me.”
That creative freedom has helped him build a career rooted in complete independence. Every song, mix, master, visual, artwork, and business decision comes directly from him.
Before losing his original catalog, Lavish2Litt amassed more than 11,000 TikTok followers and over 400,000 likes while performing throughout Philadelphia and opening for artists such as Kur. Along the way, he earned recognition from promoters, A&Rs, major brands, and even received a public shoutout from DDG that introduced his music to an even larger audience.
Now 22 years old, Lavish2Litt continues creating from his hometown while traveling to experience new cultures that inspire his evolving artistry.
His attention is now focused on his biggest release to date: 2Litt The Album, a collaborative project with AK2Litt expected to feature 15 to 20 songs that embody everything the movement stands for energy, emotion, authenticity, versatility, and brotherhood.
More importantly, he hopes listeners leave with something bigger than a playlist addition.
He wants them to know it’s okay to be different.
It’s okay to struggle.
It’s okay to be themselves.
Because for Lavish2Litt, success has never been defined by numbers.
It’s defined by impact.
And through every setback, challenge, and victory, his message remains unchanged:
Stay authentic. Stay resilient. Stay 2Litt.
