GloRilla and Kehlani are embracing the holiday season with their first-ever collaboration, “Xmas Time,” released at midnight on Friday, Dec. 13. The festive track brings both artists together for a heartwarming celebration of family and the Christmas spirit.

In the snow-filled visual, Kehlani dons a fur-trimmed leather jacket, delivering a dreamy chorus about cherishing moments with loved ones. GloRilla, dressed in all white, reflects on her childhood Christmases and expresses gratitude to her parents for “birthing a baddie.”

The song opens with GloRilla rapping, “It’s that time of the year to get exactly what you wishin’/ It’s time to be around all the ones that keep you lifted/ It’s time for all the hugs and the mistletoe kisses/ Not me ’cause I’m a P, but good luck with your missus/ This as merry as I’m gettin’.”

Both artists have had impressive years, marked by successful tours and album releases. GloRilla dropped her highly anticipated debut album GLORIOUS in October, which included tracks like “I LUV HER” featuring T-Pain, “HOW I LOOK” with Megan Thee Stallion, and the summer hit “TGIF.” In 2024, she continued her momentum with songs like “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be,” both of which were featured on her Ehhthang Ehhthang project.

Kehlani, meanwhile, released CRASH in June, a Grammy-nominated album that showcased singles such as “After Hours” and “Next 2 U.” The project featured contributions from Omah Lay, Jill Scott, and Young Miko. Kehlani described the album as their “most free, most fun, most loud, most fueled” work to date. In August, they dropped While We Wait 2, featuring artists like FLO, Lucky Daye, Vince Staples, and DESTIN CONRAD.

“Xmas Time” marks a festive moment for both artists, capping off a year filled with milestones and creative achievements.
