In a time of fracture, division, and hate, Michelle Langone’s ‘Home Reimagined’ offers a surprisingly clear-sighted message about the universal power of home, healing, and spirituality. As she plots out a busy 2024, she might be the perfect songstress for the moment.
Michelle Langone is sharing her latest single, ‘Home Reimagined,’ with the world this March. With it, she also shares a quietly profound message about joy and healing in a time of pain and division.
For those who don’t know her, 25-year-old Michelle Langone is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Florida. She began her singing career as an operatic soprano throughout high school and college, winning various singing and theatrical awards.
In 2020, following COVID lockdowns, Michelle turned to digital platforms to start sharing music with the world and performing live gigs online. She found success in the digital music landscape, and buoyed by this, she decided to team up with like-minded producers and songwriters for her debut EP, Coming Home. It was released in 2022.
Since then, Michelle’s career has continued to pick up steam. She has released several other singles and has developed an ever-increasing fanbase.
But at the start of 2024, Michelle shared the news that she would fully commit herself to her distinctive brand of soulful, operatic pop music in the year ahead. As Michelle describes it, she’s been on a soulful journey for the past few years, which has enriched her music and helped her arrive at new ways of singing about complex ideas like spirituality, God, and healing.

‘Home Reimagined’ is Michelle’s first single of 2024 – and it’s an excellent one. The song is a reworking of Michelle’s 2022 track ‘Home,’ but with the help of EDM legend Jake Neumar, of BHAVIOR music, who gives it an uplifting electronica sheen. The message of the original song remains the same, but Michelle’s words and message feel more appropriate than ever for the times we’re living in.
Michelle’s music touches on ideas like prayer, God, the eternal spirit, and sacredness – but what makes her stand out is that her music doesn’t feel moralistic or didactic in how she sings about these ideas. Her music makes the vital proposition that you can sing songs about having a spiritual journey – but you don’t necessarily need your listeners to have had the same journey to understand the beauty of the music itself. This means that ‘Home Reimagined’ might be about ‘sacred’ themes – but it’s certainly not just for people who have a relationship with God (or even believe in a higher power).
In a time when too many of us are hardened in our opinions and suspicious about surrendering to ideas that we’re not sure of, Michelle’s music feels like an antidote.
She has claimed she wants to “make medicine from melodies” with her music. On songs like ‘Home Reimagined,’ it feels like that’s exactly what she’s doing.
